As a Jew who does not accept Jesus as anything other than an exceptional human being & a fellow Jew, my perspective is quite different than the author's or his Christian readers. That said, Givens' insights bring a completely new & fresh understanding of the connecting thread that runs through|About the Author|Tommy Givens is assistant professor of New Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary. He earned a Th.D. at Duke University, co-directed by Richard Hays and Stanley Hauerwas. He taught theology previously at Centro Teologico Al-Andalus in Spain.
